A Ludlow police officer stopped a man driving a red Chevrolet van for a traffic violation near the Riverside Marketplace. They pulled into the crowded shopping center parking lot outside Family Dollar and gunfire was exchanged, police said. An officer was wounded, and Reynolds was killed.
