Deadly force

Concord police were conducting surveillance of a suspect's home. Detectives had obtained a warrant for Charles Burns for alleged drug sales, authorities said. During the stakeout, Burns came out of his home and got into a truck driven by another man. As detectives tried to contact Burns, the driver of the truck rammed an occupied police other. Burns then ran from the truck and allegedly reached for his waist. Two officers shot and killed him.
