Deadly force
Two officers were responding to reports of a burglary and went an apartment to meet with the person reporting the burglary. They were confronted by a woman with a knife, police said. Both officers shot and killed her as she advanced upon them. The city of Seattle agreed to pay $3.5 million to settle the wrongful-death civil lawsuit in November 2021.
