Gonzalez-Meza had alcohol and meth in his system, and was one of three Hispanic suspects who ran away from a traffic stop on a stolen white 1988 Honda Accord. In a stranger's backyard, Gonzalez-Meza struggled with an officer trying to arrest him. He was tasered without success then he went for the Taser. He was fatally shot.
