At Rest

Deadly force
Two officers in a patrol car approached Menifield because he was smoking crack. He attacked one of them, knocking him down and trying to get his weapon. The other officer fired at Menifield, who then jumped into the patrol car and drove away. The missing other was spotted on the 110 Freeway, where Menifield had exited, but failed to comply with orders to surrender. After bean-bag round and tasers were unsuccessful, he was shot while allegedly trying to take an officer's gun.
