Casey Daniel Smith reportedly spent the last day of his life on a crime spree that included ramming a police car with a stolen car and carjacking and 82-year-old woman. An off-duty police officer working store security caught Smith allegedly shoplifting. The officer tased Smith to no effect. Smith pulled a crowbar out of his pants and brandished it. The officer shot and killed Smith.
