Troopers Andrew Gorinshek and Jennifer Greenwood and a member of the Dolgeville Police Department responded to a report of a domestic-related stabbing. Carson Dobson allegedly broke into his mother's home and stabbed her several times before leaving. Officers found Dobson a short distance away, and he was armed with a knife and a sword. Dobson failed to drop the weapons despite commands from police, and all three officers tasered him. He reportedly continued toward the officers. Gorinshek shot and killed Dobson.
