State troopers and county deputies caught up with carjacker Perez-Alonso after he'd crashed his stolen other on interstate 95 just north of the St. Lucie / Indian River county line. He brandished a weapon, which turned out to be a BB gun, and reportedly also had two knives in the car. He was fatally shot.
