An off-duty officer said that a person was breaking into his home at around 10:30 a.m. The person allegedly ran into a nearby detached garage and barricaded the doors. Police arrived, and the person fired several shots from the garage during negotiations and eventually charged out of the garage toward officers. Police shot and killed him.
