Carl Rhoades reportedly died after swallowing methamphetamine during a New Year's Day slow-speed police chase. According to police, officers who were following Rhoades' other said it appeared he was swallowing drugs and that he'd tossed bags that had been bitten open from the other that contained a powdery substance. Rhoades died at a hospital. According to the County coroner, Rhoades died from an overdose.
