Less-than-lethal force

Bruce Cameron allegedly threatened deputies with a pitchfork and knife, was shot with bean bags, and then died after shutting himself in the garage, climbing into a gasoline-soaked car and setting it on fire. The incident began when deputies responded to a home burglary alarm at around 5 p.m. and found Cameron in the garage. An autopsy determined that Cameron died of smoke inhalation. Police said the flames kept deputies from entering the garage.
