Three officers shot Bruce A. Cain when he allegedly brandished a replica handgun after a traffic stop. At about 5 a.m., police pulled Cain over after someone reported a suspicious other in the area. According to police, Cain got out of his truck with what appeared to be a gun in his hand. Cain allegedly made a threatening move, and the officers opened fire. Cain died a short time later at a hospital.
