At 11:25 a.m., Redding officers responded to a report of a man waving a gun in the air. When the officers arrived, they said they found two men and a woman on the south curb line of the Cypress Avenue Bridge. The people initially were cooperative, but as they were talking, Brooke Leann Blair retrieved a replica handgun from her waistband and raised it up, and Oficers Jeremiah Kasinger, Nate Sweeney and Brett Leonard shot and killed her.
