Ojeda's mother drove the wrong way down a one way street and sideswiped a parked car while attempting to get help for her daughter, having an asthma attack. The ticketing officer would not assist, or allow the mother to get assistance for, the girl. She died shortly afterward. The initial reaction from the NYPD included the suggestion that this was not a police officer.
