Brian P. White was killed when he crashed his Ford van into a retention pond while being pursued by officers Keith Sullivan and Kevin Lanz. The officers reportedly tried to stop White for driving with the wrong plates at about 4:35 a.m. A seven-mile chase ensued after White didn't pull over. White's van eventually went off the road and into the pond. Police said Lanz and Sullivan went into the icy water, but were unable to save White.
