Deadly force
Police were dispatched because a 911 caller said Brian Mullen was suicidal and was threatening to shoot himself. Around 3 p.m., officers were sent for a welfare check. When the officers arrived, they reportedly were confronted by a man holding a gun. Officers said they ordered Mullen to drop the weapon, but he failed to do so and was shot and killed.
