Deputy marshals were trying to take Brian Filion, a violent felon wanted on numerous charges, into custody when he fled. A police dog was sicced on Filion, and Filion allegedly put the dog in a headlock and pulled out a handgun. Before he could shoot the dog, officers opened fire, killing Filion and the dog.
