Deadly force

Deputies attempted to serve a warrant on Burch in a traffic stop in front of a Sonic drive-in restaurant. Purported sex offender Burch began cutting himself on the face and neck with a knife or some other sharp object as the deputies approached. Tasering did not work to subdue him. A struggle ensued, Burch cut one of the officers, and the officer shot and killed Burch.
