Deadly force

Local and federal agencies attempted to apprehend an armed and dangerous suspect for multiple felony counts. The Chandler Police Department had contacted the Fugitive Task Force in reference to a case which included kidnapping, domestic violence aggravated assault, aggravated assault, and felony warrants. Pequeno, who was believed to be driving a stolen car, rammed other cars in an attempt to flee police and did not comply with the officers' commands. He was shot and killed. A 17-year-old girl, Sariah Lane, was also shot and later died. Police alleged vehicular assault.
