A state trooper reportedly clocked Brandon M. Halbach's motorcycle traveling 96 mph and gave chase. According to police, the trooper lost sight of the motorcycle after Halbach turned north onto a Webster County road. The motorcycle went off the road, down an embankment, hit a tree and then rolled several times. Halbach died at the scene.
