Stacy drove a Suburban too fast on a rural road at 2 a.m. A local policeman attempted to pull him over, leaving Stacy with a fatal bullet wound to the head. The officer's description was at wild variance with the evidence, and he was eventually sentenced to three years for involuntary manslaughter. One of the rare cases where an officer was indicted for a line-of-duty killing.
