At Rest

Deadly force
A detective shot Billy Sparks when he allegedly threatened him with a BB pistol after he'd been cornered in a small backyard. At around noon, detectives went to a recreational other parked on Smiley Avenue to question Sparks and a woman about two armed robberies nearby. Sparks yelled that he'd never go back to prison and fled. Sparks allegedly pointed the BB gun at the detective behind a house on Leona, prompting the officer to shoot him twice. Sparks died at a hospital.
This record exists so that Billy Sparks, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
