Police said an officer tried to stop an allegedly stolen car on the Williamstown/Marietta Bridge. The teenaged driver reportedly refused to stop, prompting a chase that was joined by other officers. The car went out of control and struck an embankment on W.Va. 14. 16-year-old Billie Reynolds, a passenger in the car, died the next day from head injuries suffered in the crash. Two other teens inside the car were taken to area hospitals.
