Deadly force
Officers were called to a home because of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers surrounded the house, where Benito Daniel Hernandez was inside. Hernandez went out the back door and began shooting at officers and citizens. Officer Darren Bristow was hit by gunfire as were two neighbors. Hernandez then went back into the house. Hernandez then came out the front door and walked toward his other. Hernandez raised his shotgun and opened fire on the officers, striking several of them, and he was shot and killed.
