How they died

Less-than-lethal force

Responding to a major disturbance, Officers Hannah Tamez and Jonathan Crump saw Miller laying in a front yard, flailing around and talking to himself. Officers requested backup and an ambulance. Paramedics responded. Miller refused treatment and shouted that he wanted to die. Officers put handcuffs and leg restraints on Miller and transported him to Parkland Hospital, where he died.
