Suicide

Bela Mozer was arrested after leaving the scene of an accident. Two hours later, Officer Terry McDowell, 35, was shot to death and his partner was wounded when they went to Mozer's duplex to issue a ticket to Mozer's wife. She had driven to the jail to bail out her husband but didn't have a license, Zitzke said. When the officers arrived, Bela Mozer shot through the front screen door, hitting McDowell, then went outside and fired at Eric Brill. McDowell was killed, and Brill was listed in stable condition, said police spokesman Bob Roule. Mozer shot and killed himself.
