Officers set up a drug buy with an informant who believed that Roberson was in possession of cocaine. Officers revealed themselves during the buy. Roberson drove away so quickly that they lost sight of him as he crashed into a cement pillar, dying at the scene. Cocaine was found in the other he drove.
