How they died

59-year-old war veteran, married with two children, resident of Nazarabad, Karaj. Shot with pellet bullets by Islamic Republic forces at close range in Hashtgerd, Karaj on January 9, 2026. He was hit in the head, face, heart and lungs. He was severely injured and remained in a coma in hospital for one week before dying on Friday, January 16, 2026. His body was only handed over to family after intimidation and threats, with conditions that burial be done in secret and no memorial ceremonies or gatherings be held.
