He was killed on May 16, 2021, during Israeli missile strikes on al-Wehda Street, which also killed his two children, Tawfiq (17) and Tala (13), along with several other civilians in the same building. Furthermore, Israeli warplanes targeted 2 other 4-storey residential buildings belonging to Ameen Mohammed al-Qolaq and Mo’een Mohammed al-Qolaq, near Abu al-Ouf building, and destroyed it over the heads of its residents.
