
Awad Nabil Abu Salmiya, 34, was a Palestinian resident of the Gaza Strip. He was killed during an Israeli airstrike on May 12, 2021, amid a period of intense bombardment targeting homes, residential buildings, infrastructure, and streets across the Gaza Strip. His death occurred during one of the most violent days of the 11-day Israeli assault in May 2021, which claimed the lives of at least 247 Palestinians, including 66 children and 39 women, and injured over 1,400 others.
