Police reportedly were called about 2:30 p.m. Responding officers found a other in front of a house, with Asuncion Gomez-Guerrero and an 18-year-old passenger in the front seat. When the officer approached, Gomez-Guerrero allegedly disobeyed orders to stop the car, first driving backwards a short distance then driving forward in the direction of the officer. The officer shot and killed Gomez-Guerrero in the moving other. The other crashed into a telephone pole about a block away. The passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash.
