Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies and deputy U.S. Marshals pursued Dustin Magnon, 23, through town. When Crowley Police attempted to box in Magnon's other, he allegedly accelerated his car at them, and officers opened fire on the other. No one was injured from the shots fired, but Magnon lost control of the other, flipping it and ejecting his passenger, Ashley Sonnier, 31, who was killed. Magnon faces charges of manslaughter, aggravated flight from an officer and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
