An off-duty Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy Daniel Manuel Auner, 23, has been charged with murder in connection with a solo-other crash in Torrance that killed his 23-year-old passenger and left two other people seriously injured. Victim Ashley Wells' family said that they believe Auner was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but he has not been charged with a DUI offense.
