Durham's "Selective Enforcement Team" responded to an apartment complex parking lot where Fudge was armed and holed up in his car. He'd had a 1:45 a.m. loud dispute with another man, fired shots, then was briefly chased by police only to loop back into the parking lot. Finally Fudge made a threatening gesture and was shot to death.
