Deadly force
Police said officers were responding to a report of an assault at the Colony Motel. A woman said a man on a motor scooter was causing a disturbance, and when she asked him to leave, he allegedly drove around her in circles and then attempted to strike her with his scooter. Officers found the suspect, Arnett Myers, at his apartment a few blocks away. Myers reportedly struggled with one officer and tried to pull his gun from the holster. Another officer shot Myers several times, killing him.
