Police responded to reports to 911 of several gunshots fired about 8:30 a.m. Police gathered outside of a home. Police said Montoya was firing shots from inside the home and hitting other homes in the neighborhood. Agents returned fire, fatally wounding him. He fled in a white truck, eventually crashing in the backyard of a home.
