Mansfield was fatally injured when a Ford Crown Victoria police car driven by Officer Taikwon Dudley crashed into his Chevy Cavalier. Dudley was rushing to assist officers involved in the pursuit of an armed suspect who had sped away from a traffic stop. Police said Dudley was driving 57 mph and went through a red traffic light when he struck Mansfield's car.
