Deadly force

Trooper Michael Cox knew Anthony Hammond was wanted on arrest warrants. Cox followed the other, but it kept driving, turned off its lights and struck a parked car before two people fled. Police said Cox chased Hammond on foot and saw him kick in the door of a townhouse. The trooper followed Hammond into the home, and Hammond ran toward Cox and tried to take the officer's gun, and Cox shot and killed him.
