Shot with a war bullet during suppression of popular protests in Mehrshahr area of Karaj around 8:30 PM on Friday. According to eyewitness accounts, he was targeted in the abdomen area and the bullet exited through his back. Plainclothes agents had created tension among the crowd and thrown stones at shop shutters before security forces fired tear gas and threw grenades. At least two people were shot during the incident.
