At about 9:20 p.m. a patrol car traveling east on Van Born Road struck a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am turning into the parking lot at Hazel's Party Store. Two women and two children were in the car, which was hit on the passenger side. The impact caused the Grand Am to flip onto its side, killing the passenger, Amber Iverson.
