Ali Taimeh, 39, was a veteran Palestinian journalist who had long reported from the Gaza Strip for Al Aoudeh. Known for his commitment to documenting the lives of displaced civilians and the human cost of war, he continued to work in extremely dangerous conditions. On August 26, 2024, while reporting in Khan Younis, central Gaza, he was killed when an Israeli strike targeted a civilian car nearby. Taimeh had been covering the struggles of displaced Gazans west of the city at the time.
