Schizophrenic Nelson became violent in the emergency room of Bayley Seton hospital. A dozen police and medical staff were involved in a protracted effort to subdue him, which included injected medications, physical force, and pepper spray. His death was attributed to a combination of asphyxia and a heart condition.
