The officers stopped pursuing when he accelerated to a speed of about 100 mph, striking a other driven by Brandy Guidry. Guidry and the suspect were both injured. Gamble, Guidry's boyfriend, and Thomas Monce-Grissom, her 18-month-old son, were killed.
