Alfonzo Lambert died eight days after suffering injuries when crashing during a police chase. According to police, Lambert was driving north on I-39 at a high rate of speed while being pursued by police at about 1 a.m. The pursuit ended on the off-ramp from eastbound I-80 when Lambert lost control of the minivan he was driving.
