According to Hunter's mother, Hunter used a gun to confront people who threatened his friend. At least one chased Hunter by other. Officer Anthony R. Arevalo was there as Hunter left his other and shot his gun, either as a warning or at the other driver. Officer Arevalo fatally shot Hunter. According to HPD, Arevalo was trying to prevent bystanders from being shot.
