Biography
Ako Mohammadi was a 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian youth originally from Salas-e Babajani, a suburb of Kermanshah, who was killed during popular protests in Qeshm in January 2026. He was shot dead by Iranian military and security forces while participating in demonstrations, and his death was followed by the abduction of his body and severe pressure on his family, who were ultimately forced to pay a large sum of money to recover his remains.
