Ahmed Samir Mohammed Wishah

Ahmed Samir Mohammed Wishah was a Palestinian journalist from the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. At the age of 25, he worked as a cameraman for Al Jazeera Mubasher, contributing to coverage of events throughout the Gaza conflict. He was the youngest of three brothers and often collaborated with his brother, Mohammed Wishah, an Al Jazeera correspondent. Together, they documented the experiences of Palestinians living through the war and reported on developments from the ground.

After Mohammed Wishah was killed in April 2026, Ahmed continued his journalistic work despite the risks faced by media workers in Gaza. Reports indicate that he also assumed additional family responsibilities, including helping care for his late brother's children. Colleagues remembered him as kind, principled, respectful, and dedicated to his profession. They described him as a cheerful presence who sought to convey the realities of life in Gaza and the suffering experienced by civilians. His death on 20 june 2026 made him one of the Al Jazeera journalists killed during the conflict.
