Ahmad Khalil al-Louh was killed instantly when an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle fired a precision-guided missile directly at him in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. The missile strike also injured several bystanders. The targeting of Ahmad occurred amid a series of heavy aerial and artillery bombardments carried out by Israeli forces across Gaza, striking both military and civilian areas indiscriminately, resulting in extensive loss of life and destruction.
Biography
Ahmad Khalil al-Louh, 32, was a Palestinian from Gaza City who was killed on May 17, 2021, when an Israeli drone fired a missile at him in the Sabra neighborhood. His assassination came during one of the most intense waves of Israeli bombardment on the Gaza Strip, which targeted residential areas, public facilities, and infrastructure, killing dozens and injuring many more. Ahmad’s death occurred in the context of widespread attacks that also claimed the lives of children, women, and entire families.
Ahmad Khalil al-Louh, a 32-year-old resident of Gaza City, lived in the Sabra neighborhood, a densely populated area in the heart of the city. On May 17, 2021, he was specifically targeted and killed by an Israeli missile launched from a drone. The strike that killed him also injured several other Palestinians in the area. His death occurred during a severe escalation of violence in which Israeli forces carried out continuous bombardment across the Gaza Strip, hitting residential buildings, commercial towers, public spaces, medical centers, mosques, and schools. Entire families were wiped out in their homes, and casualties included large numbers of children and women. The same day, Israeli forces also killed other Palestinians in separate strikes, including senior political figures and civilians in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Beit Lahia, and Deir al-Balah.
