Biography
Ahmad Jalil was a 22-year-old resident of Lordegan who worked as a ride-hailing driver and faced financial hardship. He had previously participated in the 2022 “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests and remained engaged in public demonstrations. He was killed after being shot by Iranian security forces during protests in his hometown.
Ahmad Jalil lived in Lordegan, in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. He earned a living as a ride-hailing driver, struggling financially, according to a relative. Jalil had a history of civic engagement and had taken part in the nationwide “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement in 2022. During renewed protests, he again joined demonstrations in Lordegan. On the day of his death, security forces confronted protesters and opened fire. Following his killing, intelligence agents reportedly summoned his family and pressured them to provide a coerced interview that blamed protesters for his death, threatening to withhold his body if they refused.
