Ahmad Ayman Ibrahim ‘Aabed, 23, was a young Palestinian man from Kafr Dan, a town northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. On September 14, 2022, he was killed alongside Abdul-Rahman Hani ‘Aabed during an exchange of gunfire with Israeli soldiers near the village of Jalama, close to the Israeli Annexation Wall. Ahmad was a graduate of Istiqlal University and served in the Palestinian Military Intelligence service.

Born and raised in the village of Kafr Dan, near Jenin, Ahmad Ayman Ibrahim ‘Aabed grew up amidst the intensifying pressures of military occupation and frequent Israeli raids in the northern West Bank. At 23, he had already achieved academic success, graduating from Istiqlal University, a Palestinian institution that specializes in security and military sciences. Following his education, Ahmad joined the Palestinian Military Intelligence service, signaling his active role in formal Palestinian security structures.

On the morning of September 14, 2022, Ahmad and his peer, Abdul-Rahman Hani ‘Aabed, were reportedly seen near the Israeli Annexation Wall by Israeli forces in the area of Jalama, north of Jenin. Ahmad Ayman Ibrahim ‘Aabed died from multiple gunshot wounds sustained during an exchange of fire with Israeli soldiers. According to Israeli military accounts, Ahmad and his companion allegedly initiated gunfire when approached by Israeli forces near the Israeli Annexation Wall. The Israeli soldiers responded with lethal force, resulting in Ahmad’s immediate death at the scene. His body was not returned to his family and was instead confirmed through mobile phone photographs shown to relatives by the army at a nearby checkpoint.
